Accessibility Statement

This is an accessibility statement from Options For All.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. OPTIONSFORALL.ORG is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some content parts do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of optionsforall.org, there may be limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please get in touch with us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for OPTIONSFORALL.ORG:

  1. Video and accessible PDF documents: Videos and PDF documents may not be captioned or provide audio transcripts. We cannot ensure that all content will have these accessibility assets. We procure and update content without these assets regularly to meet accessibility standards. Please email us at info@optionsforall.org if you encounter an issue or cannot access specific content or resources.

Formal complaints

You can question and appeal any decision or action taken by Options For All in their program services. You also have the right to report any unfair treatment or unprofessional activities by any Options For All staff members.

If you are unhappy for any reason regarding services provided by Options For All, you have the right to use the following Grievance Procedure:

1. Communicate your issue or concern with a Staff. Our Staff should respond to you verbally within five (5) working days.

2. If you are not satisfied with the response, communicate your issue or concern to the Area Manager. The Area Manager should respond to you verbally within five (5) working days.

3. If you are still unhappy with the answer, you can write the concern or problem down and send it to the Director of Programs.

If you need help writing down your concern or grievance, an advocate will be appointed to assist you. The Director of Programs will then answer in writing within five (5) working days.

A meeting with you, the Area Manager, the Director of Programs, and the support staff will be arranged within 7- 10 business days of the date of contact.

The above steps should resolve your grievance. If you are still not satisfied with the results, a meeting with your Regional Center Service Coordinator will be arranged to resolve the grievance.

Whenever possible, complaints should follow the steps listed above. You may contact your Regional Center Service Coordinator at any time.

You may bring an advocate with you at any meeting regarding the grievance. It may be your parent, guardian, care provider, relative, or other concerned people. You may have a representative from the Area Board on Developmental Disabilities speak on your behalf in these meetings.

All meetings will be in a language that you can understand. If an interpreter is needed, you may bring your own, or Options For All can help you find one.

Once a grievance has reached the Director of Programs level, all responses to your grievance will be in writing.

You have the right to be free from retaliation and barriers to services due to filing complaints. At no time will Options For All retaliate against you for filing a grievance
