The Magic Hour
Magic hour, a moment when the sun is gone, but the light is not. A moment when the sky burns in beautiful hues and erases the division of light and shadow, creating equality in luminance. A rarity sought by the world’s most keen eyes and appreciators of beauty.
In cinema, the magic hour is the most honored hour of the day. Just ask those in our Film and Media program. It’s the time of day when you can capture that magic shot. A moment compelling enough to stop and take in the beauty of liquid oranges, pastel pink blushes, swirling corals, and soft hazy purple shadows.
Thirty-five years ago, we embarked on a path toward creating universal social equality, much like what this hour achieves with light. Our impact has been considerable, but our continued success depends upon your patronage. This year we honor our donors the way cinema honors the magic hour. Celebrate our most generous patrons and raise a glass at the timeless Hotel del Coronado with us.

This year’s proceeds will benefit our Film & Media program by upgrading our studios and productions to meet ever-evolving industry standards, employ emerging media professionals with I/DD, and make a more significant impact in our community by sharing the voices and stories of other populations that share the historical challenge of feeling excluded.

Attendance Policy
Attendees of the Options For All Bow Ties and Sandals Gala at the Hotel del Coronado will be required to follow all applicable county, state, and local health and safety guidelines that may be in effect on August 27, 2022 for hotels, food service, and entertainment establishments. All tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person by notifying Options For All at gala@optionsforall.org at least three days in advance of the event.
